Go MAD: Make a Difference
My daughter LOVED this book. Sometimes I would hear her laughing from the other room as she read it. She would even bring up some of the issues she read about during dinner. She said that even though it was written by adults, it was presented in "her language" (funny, I thought she spoke English like the rest of us). She really liked the chapters by Mark Bernstein and Keith Hawkins in particular. Thanks for a great read. Go MAD is great!

The Healthy Christian Life
Published in Paperback by Baker Book House (December, 1988)
Authors: Frank Minirth, Paul Meier, Richard Meier, and Don Hawkins
Average review score:

A Foundation Builder
This book started a turning point in my Christian walk. It is firmly grounded in Biblical truths and it is easy to understand. Each chapter explained a common misconception or problem and what the Bible has to say about it. Although the last section of the book discussing the different disorders wasn't what I was needing, the first 2 sections really hit home. As a new Christian, it layed a foundation that was solidly based on scripture. It dispelled misconceptions that I had and even brought up a few that I didn't know I had! I believe that this book has something for everyone. This a book that I will refer back to often.

The Heart of Princess Osra

Author: Anthony Hope Hawkins
Average review score:

Set in Ruritania, according to Sir Charles Mallet
It's set in Ruritania, according to Sir Charles Mallet, which is enough for me to order it. Sir Charles says, in _Anthony Hope and His Books_, page 96:

The public took to its heart another charming lady of the Elphberg stock, a sister of the wild King Rudolph.... Mr W.L. Courtney, an Oxford friend and philosopher, headed a long article in the Daily Telegraph with the title "Osra the Flirt," and it is to be feared that the title, though wanting in respect for Royal persons, was deserved.

The Heart of the Circle: A Guide to Drumming
Published in Paperback by Crossing Press (August, 1999)
Author: Holly Blue Hawkins
Average review score:

Drum for yourself
This book primarily deals with those of you who are interested in drumming for personal reasons rather than for an audience. Personally I drum in a band and also I drum to myself for relaxation. Holly Blue Hawkins explains her reasons for drumming and teaches how one goes about solving lifes problems and answering questions over a drum session. No matter how long you have had a drum or how often you play, this book will change the way you pick up your drum and the way you treat your drum and most importantly you will learn what drumming means to you.

This book always gives my son a smile
I first saw this book at our library and decided to take it home. We've had it for two and one half weeks and now it is a must for our library. My son loves the finger games that are played while reading this book. Even when he is cranky around bed time he musters up a huge smile and wants to finsh reading the book.

I recommend it as an interactive book that will provide you with many giggles.
